North Pilton Works

Post by StevieG » Fri Mar 01, 2024 3:28 pm

Hi all.
Has anyone had any dealings with North Pilton Works lately ?
I placed an order for some station lamps ( 2 packs of four lamps) back in January and the kits arrived a little over three weeks later.
On opening the kits I was disappointed to find that both boxes contained a little bag of wooden parts, some instructions and nothing else.
The lamp posts, glazing and LEDs were missing.
I sent a message to NPW via their "contact us" link on their website asking for some assistance to get the missing parts.
To date I have sent messages via that link, I've sent an email (with photos of what was delivered) and have phoned several times but get no response.
Is there something going on at NPW that I'm unaware of that is preventing them from responding ?
It's frustrating that I'm getting nowhere with them. I can easily use the bits I was sent and make my own posts and glazing and fit my own LED's but it would be nice to get what I actually paid for.

Could always give them a call on 0203 0062564. I always find a phone call a better response than a contact us form.

Yes. I've phoned that number several times and it's not answered.
Hence my question as to is there something going on at NPW that's preventing any response.
I don't want to think negatively of them if they're going through hard times.

We do get similar queries posted about this company from time to time, but I have no idea what the problem is, I'm afraid.

No direct experience, but as Philip says there are some previous experiences recorded on here you can compare yours to: 1 2 3

Ah, thank you for those links.
There does seem to be previous for NPW.
I've ordered things from them before and apart from no order confirmation and a long delivery time I've been pleased with what I've received.
I looked to see if they were going to be at the Garden Railway show in April but they're not on the vendors list.
I may hear back from them one day. I live in hope !

I've heard mixed reports about NPW. Response times are the usual gripes, but not seen anything about incomplete kits before.

When I called in a year ago they seemed to supply a lot of items to Garden Railway Specialists. Might be worth giving them a call to see if they have a line of contact?
