Several forum members contacted the admin team after being sent PMs by this user asking for their personal contact details. Steve checked the origin of this user and found the IP Address was somewhere in Romania and listed as a probable spammer.

If you have shared any personal information with this user then please be alert to any further requests and if necessary take precautionary measures to enhance your security.

We're sorry this user slipped through our security measures but, as you can see, such attacks are sometimes very sophisticated.

Thanks to those who alerted us to their concerns. Please let us know if, in future, you identify any users who you feel aren't who or what they claim to be.

This seems to be a persistent spammer who keeps trying to re-register. Please continue to be vigilant and let us know immediately if you are contacted.
