New Year’s Day 2024 on the FeckHallBahn

Filmed at all the FeckHallBahn’s main line stations over the course of a couple of hours on 1/1/2024.
We start at Hornundtrompetebahnhof. Keith bustles off to Tiefeshorn where it will take up banking loco/Hilflok duties - wet and cold rails plus over a week since she was last on duty mean that it’s vanishingly unlikely that Frau Doyle will manage the ascent of Vogelscheiße Incline unassisted. This was indeed the case.
As Polly simmers outside the TMD, Frau Doyle departs for Kirschbaumimwald via Tiefeshorn. Next, Baskerville draws the stock for Polly’s train out of the siding and waits in platform one for her to come off shed. We’re taking no risks with the notoriously slippery crossover between platform one and the main line - Polly’s train will depart from platform two.
Once Baskerville has completed this manoeuvre, it departs light engine to Kirschbaumimwald where it will collect its own train from platform 2 there and this is where the camera heads next. You may wonder why the loco doesn’t enter the loop at the far end; this is because the points at Kirschbaumimwald are automatic. It is standard operating procedure for the first loco of the day to use the loop to ensure correct operation of the points.
Baskerville and train head for Hornundtrompete, crossing Polly and her train at Rasenmäher Überfahrt Haltepünkt using Murthwaite Sehr Sud as a refuge.
Back to Kirschbaumimwald to see Polly arrive and run round her train which is then drawn forward to unload at Kirschbaumimwald International Rail Freight Terminal before reversing into platform two in readiness for Frau Doyle to arrive.
Once Frau Doyle has arrived, after a struggle to climb Vogelscheiße Incline, we follow Polly back to Hornundtrompete where she and Baskerville cross paths once more.
Finally, back at Kirschbaumimwald, Frau Doyle moves into platform two and departs for Tiefeshorn once Baskerville has arrived.
We end as we began, with a light engine move.
