New improvements on the MHLR

Post by mhlr » Fri Jul 03, 2009 11:34 pm

The wooden wall tops had all warped and looked rubbish. The warping also created some clearence issues, and the bridges crossing over the gap had a rather lumpy bit of track over the wooden wall top. So we replaced the wooden wall tops with some cheap slabs. I still could do with repainting the walls though.

The bridge sections were formed by putting some cement down, then using cling film over the top, and sinking the bridge in 'till it sets:

Now that is one fine looking railway, in a beautiful setting by the looks of thing ! I do like the idea with the cling film.
