IC Engines on Wish.Com for Live Diesel?
Wish.com has been targetting advertising towards me and today I popped in and took a look. Some interesting stuff for budding Live Diesel builders
This one looks like an executive toy set-up. .15 size (2.5 cc) 2 stroke with dynamo and electric start, fuel tank and more for dest top running!
https://www.wish.com/search/engine/prod ... osition=61 .
This one is interesting, 4 stroke with driven cooling fan, electric start 0.22 size (3.7 cc) size with a slightly larger stroke than bore which is unique these days. I've also seen this in executive toy set-up on a running base. This one kept popping up in their advertising to me
https://www.wish.com/search/engine/prod ... osition=29 There's also a bunch of muck cheaper conventional pull-start 2-stroke RC car engines on wish.com

Very interesting Dave.
Don't see why you would just use it for desktop though. For that money, it would be in a model that's for sure...Now what model would it go in I wonder...

Are there any videos online of these engines running?

I would go for the spark ignition version there is a lot less oil used when running on petrol. Add a bigger flywheel and it should be able to go really slow.

Getting these to not sound like a hedge trimmer is all in the exhaust muffler I guess?

More about revs I reckon. A 4-stroke sounds better than a 2-stroke and you wouldn't need to run it at full throttle to power a loco.tom_tom_go wrote: βTue Feb 11, 2020 1:12 pm Getting these to not sound like a hedge trimmer is all in the exhaust muffler I guess?

I love the smell of 2-stroke oil though, takes me back to my early motorbikes!

The easiest way to live diesel is diesel-electric, couple the engine to a large motor to use as a generator, and use the generator to start the engine

You could also use a hydraulic drive. It would not be that hard to make. Simply use a syringe operated by a modified servo to push or pull oil into the hydraulic coupling.

This pricing is getting very good. Down from $281. I'm still getting continual Google ads. Come on lads, get into Live Diesel!
