Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Rather than creating a new post each time I upload a video to YouTube, I'll append the latest video here. I might also dig into the archives occasionally and post a link to a video I'm reminiscing over ..... Here's one I uploaded to YouTube yesterday .....

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
A pleasant way to start the day sitting and sipping my morning cuppas while watching train videos.
Keep them coming

Umpteen beautifully composed shots again, those looking beyond all the interesting stuff in the foreground, for example, like the woodyard, crane, shunting, whatever. Lovely.
Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
I like the view from your deckchair, very relaxing.

I don't often sit down during a running session, but once in a while, usually with a cuppa, I'll relax and just let whatever is on the line run round the circuit a few times. I just grabbed the camera and thought I'd capture the moment (Well moments, given it took three attempts).

This was the first time I can remember that I had three consecutive days of running, leaving the stock and buildings out over two nights. I was going to leave them out another night when, just after I filmed the railbus, the Heavens opened and I had to hurriedly put everything away with my headtorch on. Sods' Law ruled however. The rain stopped just before I finished, it didn't rain again that night and the following day was gloriously sunny. I had planned to run a couple of Specials. Oh well, something to save for next time, and the fine day without running enabled me to repair the stream.

Thanks. The sentiments are reciprocated. I even managed to get the cat to put in an appearance, though not quite as entertainingly as yours

Happy to oblige, Graeme. I certainly enjoy putting them together though it is becoming a challenge to find novel viewpoints.

Keep them coming, loved them both! You've made me look at my camera and tripod to maybe see if I can make my own! Not quite there yet with the railway, but try and find some good shots.
Your story of stock movements works so well, gives meaning to the video. (and of course I've seen your video on how you plan it)

Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
I took some inspiration from your deck chair in the garden and sat on the steps to my back deck and did some transmitter range "testing".
No videos sorry not that sophisticated yet, pictures I have finally mastered.

Certainly puts what you've done so far into perspective, Graeme. It'll be impressive when it's done!

Really enjoyed your last two videos, as usual. They’re even better on the telly in the front room

Have you ever published anything on your painting and weathering techniques? They are very nice and subtle.
Re: Peckforton Light Railway - Video Library
Only on my blog:

For the tipplers, I also used Scenic Rust

And for the Simplex, I used salt

(Scroll down to the bottom of the page)
I pinched all my ideas from others, so can't claim any credit.
