ACCUCRAFT L&B OPEN WAGON IN L&BR GREY
Morning I was wondering if any forum members have used Accucraft wagons. I am asking this as I’m going to purchase the ACCUCRAFT R19-1E L&B OPEN WAGON IN L&BR GREY from trackshack this week.
Regards

Re: ACCUCRAFT L&B OPEN WAGON IN L&BR GREY
I have a rake of Accucraft L & B stock which is my go anywhere in any weather stock set to 32mm gauge.
I ran it yesterday at the SMET Open Day - forecast was for heavy rain at the beginning but fortunately it was just light showers.
On this layout the track is laid loose on top of fine ballast. I did have a problem with the low slung L & B axleboxes fouling on the frozen ballast shoulders at the New Year steam up last January.
If you are looking for a ready made wagon load, DKL Garden Railway Buildings does a resin coal load for the Accucraft open wagons (note that the W & L and L & B open wagons have different dimensions so he does a version for each type).

Chris thanks for your reply, most helpful. I like your rake of L&B wagons. I plan to build a rake of L&B wagons up while I save up for my Roundhouse Millie.

Re: ACCUCRAFT L&B OPEN WAGON IN L&BR GREY
Most of my rolling stock is Accucraft and it is plenty heavy enough to stay on the track and couples very well indeed. They do come across as big though, especially when pulled by some of my smaller loco's, but I can cope with that as I love the Accucraft rolling stock. When I was too busy working to make anything it was an easy out of the box solution. I do think they all need weathering though, something I might get around to one day
A few of my Accucraft stock...

Steve’s you have a nice selection of accucraft wagons. I might have a go at building a kit but I think the accucraft wagons look super straight out of the box.
