45mm gauge Peco flexible track
45mm gauge Peco flexible track
Hello Folks,
Fairly new to this group and narrow gauge modelling. I recently bought a quantity of used Peco 45mm gauge flexible track. I don't know how old it is. It appears similar to Peco SL900 track except it has brass rail and not nickel silver. Would be grateful if anyone can shed any light on this please.

Not tryng to be clever but are you sure it's Peco? Does it have the word Peco embossed on the bottom of the sleepers? Is the rail itself Bullhead or FB?

It does have Peco on the underside of the sleepers. The rail is FB and the sleepers are wood grained.

Sorry, I can't help any further then. I don't know much about 45mm but I wasn't aware that Peco ever did brass FB rail.

Re: 45mm gauge Peco flexible track
It could be Peco sleepers used on a different brand of rail?
Re: 45mm gauge Peco flexible track
Peco may have made brass rail at one time, they certainly made aluminium, I have some!
Re: 45mm gauge Peco flexible track
Folks, further to my original question, (and many thanks for the various replies) I have noticed that the track that my query was about was Peco MC8002-1 track, This has brass rail, Code 250 and sleeper spacing that appears to be similar to the present Peco SL900 track, but with nickel silver rail. My searching seems to show that this was Gauge 1 track but the sleeper spacing confuses me! Any thoughts would be appreciated!
