Water tower for Peckforton Station
Water tower for Peckforton Station
It's been a while since I completed the boiler house. Just gotten around to finishing off the water tower. Now got a filler pipe and has been bedded into the ground.
I've written-up the build on my blog if anyone is interested - http://riksrailway.blogspot.com/2018/09 ... water.html

Looks good Rik. I believe I spotted it on your most recent video, but didn't realise that it wasn't finished.

That's a lovely bit of Flemish bond brick work Rik. The tank looks fantastic. Another piece of outstanding work!

That's a lovely looking model Rik - I love the tank in particular. It reminds me of this one that the Bluebell have recently constructed at East Grinstead...
The blog write-up's really helpful - that and your other posts will certainly be informing my methods as I make more buildings for my line...
Cheers,
Andrew.

The tank is a dead ringer for the one at the West Lancs Light Railway at Hesketh.Andrew wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 11:06 am That's a lovely looking model Rik - I love the tank in particular. It reminds me of this one that the Bluebell have recently constructed at East Grinstead...

I will stop now….
Thats a brilliant build Rik, and your Blog is also fantastic, it shows and tells you how to build a great water tower. I suspect it could be used has a “Blueprint” for other builds.

That’s Hesketh Bank by the way that Ian is talking about, for those who would like to look it up.
