How do I blank off the steam pipe under the dome on an MSS loco

I dot need it because Iv got an upgraded regulator

IP used to supply a little cover to go over it, I'm not sure if Dream Steam still supply this.

You'll have to ask them ;)

have just got off the phone with PPS and he said to just block it with a self tapping screw and some of that sealing tape stuff :)

The only way I thought of doing it relatively easily was to remove all the gubbins and solder a patch over the hole left in the underside of the boiler. Silver solder of course, as soft solder would probably melt from the meths/gas flame.

That is unless you want to go to the effort of machining a 'tophat' to go over the pipe.
