Roundhouse cranks

Post by Graff B. » Sat Aug 04, 2018 10:07 am

Morning all,
I am going to remove the cranks and conrod off my Bulldog loco. Was just wondering if the screws holding cranks in place need screw lock or are just tightened up as they are.

Thanks Alan.

When you take them off you will see if any Loctite has been applied.

Hi graff,
Belt & braces approach is always good, just make certain you use the right type of loctite!

Hi All,
Thanks for advice given. I checked the screws and found no trace of loctite, so,reassembled the cranks etc without loctite. They are nice and tight, but I will keep an eye on them in case they loosen.
Regards Alan.
