We've been having snow flurries for about 3 hours, but no substantial falls yet!

My brother's just called from Brighton to tell us that it's snowing there! We did have a tiny bit of snow falling earlier but it didn't settle.

It stopped here a couple of hours ago, unfortunately it didn't settle.
More is expected overnight and with the temperature in the minuses it should settle.

Chris has said that the snow "didn't settle". What word do people use in their part of the world?

for those of you that don't know I spent the best part of the morning and night dozing in a transit van outside Abbey pumping station so I know how cold it was
drove home in a blizzard and Middlesbroughs got a couple of inches

Pretty bad here this morning. Decided to take the day off rather than drive in and end up sliding about.

2-3 inches of snow here.
I decided rather than waiting for a train that won't turn up I'll stay at home in the warmth

Lucky *£$*%£>?, we got about 1cm which didn't last long, so we had school, snowed throughout the afternoon, but because the ground was wet from melted snow in most places it didn't settle. But one of the few places it did settle was in my back garden, so I had a compulsary 'play' in this small amount when I got back.
Also it's not going to snow much more so it looks like you guys have had most of them fun
