A very popular starting point for Live Steam. With their low cost comes a number of problems which can be discussed here

I've had some Lasercut rods cut for my Mamod loco's to replace the rather cheap looking pressed coupling rods
(some would say the whole loco looks cheap and needs to be replaced - but since this sub forum is Mamod only they shouldn't be watching this thread anyway!)
I've added a little extra detail to the profile to give the impression of the oilers and the wedge used to secure the bearings.
I think they really add something to the loco, I've just left mine steel and oily, but would look just as good picked out in red too!

They look great, Alan.
Will you be adding these to your range?

That's the plan! Slowly building up a range of Mamod upgrade goodies!

That is good to hear
Any plans for a half-cab back? I'll be needing one for 'Victor'...

Very nice, just one recomendation if you were to redesign, coupling rods only tned to have a gudgeon pin (I'm sure that's the name, please correct me if I'm wrong) at one end and the a circular bearing on the other. I'll take a photo of the Edrig rod as its quicker than waiting for tomorrow when I can take some of the real thing.

Ooops! Didn't have a good view of the Quarry Hunslet coupling rods, hard to tell what happens at the connecting rod end of the coupling rods!

I've got a couple of half-cab backs - one with coaling doors and the other just a plain back
