yep, quite a lot of that track was awfull though I think the high centre of gravity of the engine didn't help with the scary looking swaying

When I watched this a few weeks back I actually thought that given the locos are staying on at that speed on rough track I probably shouldn't be so optimistic about the one that is hoped to be re-gauged at Boston Lodge.

A great video. I really hope railway preservation takes off in China - some of those lines are surprisingly senic.

Thanks for posting the video, really nice quality too. China really is a quite bizarre place, archaic industrial railways, spectacular natural landscape, modern city scapes and huge industrialization and polution from industry, and still under communism too.
