A Station For FWLR
A Station For FWLR
This is the Station I have just finished started just before taking the line up, got them from Model Town last year, but like most members, I didnβt start doing them until last month.
I made the chimney from a block of wood, I filed the pot from the block and then used the flat screw driver to do the bricks.

Itβs getting a little bit silly now.
I am not able to load any more of themβ¦Oh well never mind. It may sort itself before I load anymore.

That chimney came out well, would never have considered using wood. The house colours work well.

Re: A Station For FWLR
Nice work Rod, encouraging to see you preparing for the new line.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
Re: A Station For FWLR
Nicely done, Rod. It's the details like this that make a difference to a model.

Thanks guys. Here a couple more with some lamps fittedβ¦not that I plan to do any night running, but it will look nice light up with the rest of Anneβs lights for the Fairy Garden.
Still not able to load more than one photo, itβs a bit of a mysteryβ¦

Re: A Station For FWLR
I notice that your photo file size is very near the site maximum (500k) perhaps this is contributing to your problem. I'm certainly no computer expert but I have had similar issues on other forums, I'm sure the real experts will be along shortly to pass comment.

Hi Phil, Itβs not the size of them, my other photoβs have been ok. But I am sure it will sort itself out, but you are correct, if it is the size I can always use the snapseed app on my iPad to get them done. Thanks anyway for that.

Loving the chimney trick, i'll have to remember that The detail on the both buildings is great in general, especially when illuminated

Re: A Station For FWLR
Well done with the buildings Rod, nice detail there.
There are no issues with uploading to the forum so it's likely the size of your images (make sure you check the picture size before uploading as the reduction settings you have set in Snapseed won't always get your image below 500k as it will depend on the amount in the picture itself plus if you have added any effects to the image). You can always adjust the reduction settings to a lower percentage to get a smaller file sized image.

Re: A Station For FWLR
Thanks Tom. Got it all sorted now, one of the kids borrowed my camera and messed around with the settings.
Alls well that ends well

Re: A Station For FWLR
I like the station Rod. Especially the lighting. Although I haven't started my line yet I am giving some thought to the stations, and the surrounding facilities. I will have two terminus stations and possibly a through station or halt, but space, (lack of) will meant they won't be grand affairs. I don't know whether to buy kits, or scratch build. Food for thought.
