Sandstone & Termite - Introduction

Post by gregh » Tue May 22, 2018 4:49 am

As I'm a newbie, I thought some may be interested in some of my 'old' videos.
So as my first offering, here's my "Introduction to the Sandstone & Termite Garden Railway"

It shows how my railway fits into the yard, what I have to do to get it ready to run trains and then follows a train around the whole circuit.
It's 13 minutes long, so maybe a cuppa before you start. :D

( Next week we might do "how I built the SaTR" )

Thanks for sharing Greg.

I have moved this to 'Railways & Layouts' as the introduction section is for new members to introduce themselves.

Looking forward to more installments.

Sorry Tom. I meant to put it in "Videos". Did I put it in "Introduction" ?

It was in 'Introductions' but moved it here as you will be describing your railway with videos and text.

No worries mate!

Really interesting intro, Greg. Although I am familiar with your railway, this overview makes it a lot clearer.

I like the way you have end to end, a large circular route (or had), out and back, and a dumbbell. Plenty of operating potential and also the opportunities to run purposeful services from A to B - plus, of course, lineside industries to explain the traffic on the railway.

Rik
PS - Nice to hear the cockatiels (or parakeets?) in the background on your commentary.

Really huge layout! Nice details with all the houses and the track inside the rocks. Indeed a nice video to look with a cup of coffee! Thanks for posting.. :thumbright:
