Thank you Grayln I'm torn between the Timpdon kits and some IP Engineering ones. I'm looking for some that closely match some I already have and my Lady Anne.

Great videos Graham. Really love your line and no music…..
The final overall shot of the line is brilliant too. A lot of people leave out these shots, don’t know why…I personally love to see how people have laid out their line.

I agree. I am at the planning stage and the overall shots are most useful.

R/C control needed on that loco for sure if you are deciding whether to sell it with or without, zoom!
Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
Agree with Tom. R/C all day for me.

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
My Decauville will run very well on manual only, with fine control over speed. The problem with them is the lack of room to install RC, hence Gralyn's tender.

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
With practice I could get the loco to run quite slowly. It required different adjustments for each different train.
Yesterdays run was also trying out the log trucks so I did not spend the time adjusting the loco speed as I should, the logs kept sliding off
as the rear wagon loaded with gravel pushed them together.
Regards Graham.
Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
Still a very nice little loco

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
I had some friends from the local Model Railway Club round for a running session yesterday. I managed
to persuade one of them to drive the live steam R/C Locos so that I could take some video. Here is
the result.

All I have to do now is to work out a way of securing the logs that looks prototypical.

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
We had a Works Outing yesterday to sunny Doncaster for a visit to the Roundhouse factory. The Roundhouse Team
excelled themselves making everyone welcome and provided a superb Buffet. Staff were Brilliant answering questions
and showing how they manufacture the parts and assemble the engines. There was even a short length of track from a certain TV
show and the battered locos showing their battle scares.
A Great Day Out.

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
Seemed like a great day out Graham. I need to try and arrange a visit myself sometime.

Re: Goings on at The Overdale Valley Light Railway
I haven't done the factory tour, or open day, but I did pick up my Lady Anne from the factory when it was built.
I would imagine seeing them being assembled would be very interesting.

We may have to arrange a trip sometime Ian, with possibly some other members, or anybody else who would be interested.
