If anyone else has information it would be most appreciated.

If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!
Re: Paint Colours
Many years ago I downloaded a conversion chart for Humbrol paints to compare them with other brands. Unfortunately I didn't note where I downloaded it from, and a search online just now hasn't shown up the same chart. Whilst it doesn't provide matches to railway company colours, it may be useful for those trying to match other colours.
I've tried to attach it below, but apparently pdfs are invalid files to add as attachments, so instead I have provided a link to the file in my Dropbox account.

If this isn't what you're after Jim, please feel free to delete.

Re: Paint Colours
Ah, you found the famous Halfords Paint List
Can confirm this works as it is Rover Russet and Rover Primula I used on my GWR Newqidas

Re: Paint Colours
While I was doing some figure painting I wanted some flesh colour paint and I was told that,
Humbrol 12ml Acrylic Paint No. 61 Flesh Matt would be ok.
But having bought one it was a lot more pink than I expected. So I looked on line and ended up with this instead.
Humbrol 14ml No. 1 Tinlet Enamel Paint 148 (Radome Tan Matt), which to me is more of a flesh colour.
The choice of colours are vast, but hopefully with the help of the members on here, most of the colours you require will be satisfactory to your needs. I know because of other members, I have found the correct paint for my needs.

I was at Liverpool Model Railway show a couple of weeks back talking to a demonstrator who was figure painting. I asked about flesh colour and he said he mixes his own depending on the skin tone he wants to achieve. He used cream, orchre, grey and blue. To differing degrees. He was using acrylics and painted onto his hand to see if it was a match or close to what he wanted!

Mmmm, that show is very good, I have been in the past. I do a lot of my own paint mixing now myself, itβs one of the only ways that you can get what you really want. It can be time consuming but worth itβ¦
