Re: Wot, no trains?
Don't think Borton on the Water ever had a railway. The model is of that village.

I went there on a school outing c 1970. You might have a problem adding a railway "attraction" as it is Grade II listed. Damn you Historic England !

Yes then they get a court order to pull them down………
Anne went there too when she was at school, but didn’t really appreciate it then. We have it in our Itinerary to visit one day soon.

I recall a trip down the Manchester Ship Canal on the Ferry, Egremont, in my school days. That's on my list to do again. Perhaps we should have a separate thread for this theme?

Re: Wot, no trains?
There was a railway at B on the W.
I don't think it was in the model village though. I went there as a small child and remember a dual circuit of what I think was O gauge track with a coin operated controller, I think it ran around a small pond and it may have been in the garden of a cafe.

Is this what you are thinking of Jim. It has HO, 00 and and N Gauge tracks.

There was a Railway Station in Stow-on-the-Wold about 4 miles away, but it was closed in 1962 apparently.

I don't remember anything inside but it was nearly 40 years ago.
