Re: Merlins Castle Line
Hi Peter,
Apologies, you will need to edit that post with the pictures as I tried to do some maintenance earlier to the forum and it went wrong so I had to restore from a backup that does not have the most recent images posted.

Thanks Tom... I have added the images to the post with a short explanation.

Same here Dwayne, though using Irfanview. I find picture loading couldn't be simpler and I'm certainly no computer whiz. The caveat is an important point too.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
While Julie is continuing to suffer with photo posting issues she has sent me pictures of the latest installation work inside her shed.
The two of them have certainly been busy pasting huge murals on walls as back scenes and fitting shelving to act as baseboards for their railways.... Dennis has '00' scale as well as assisting with Julie's 16mm.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Thanks Tom,
Julie and Dennis visited today and we attempted find a solution to the problem but I have no computer skills to pass on. I think Julie would be most grateful for your help so possibly a PM to her would start the ball rolling?

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Happy again, I have managed to post a pic. I eventually found out how to resize.
The photo is my Merlin of Merlins Castle Line along with his dragon which is on the wall of the shed.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Glad you have got your photos sorted Julie, that a great bit of work from one of the truly great masters of Garden Railways ( Peter Butler)...
Loving your shed, just wish I could get rid of my L shaped N Gauge layout now to get a track laid in there too.
Just one point on your photos Julie, are you using a camera phone for your photos, if you are I load mine from my phone onto my laptop and then put them on the forum, it’s an iPhone 6 airdropped on to my macbook, so it’s fairly easy for me.
Anyway so glad you are now able to update us on your line.

Re: Merlins Castle Line
Track is now laid in shed and is looking good thanks to help from Peter.
Unfortunately no photos again. Take photos on my iPhone 4s pics get sent to iPad but still says file too large and now won’t load to Mac where I could resize. Never mind I will persevere until it’s working.

Glad it's worked. The app like many others has to be set to reduce the size of the original images.Just Julie wrote: ↑Sat Mar 24, 2018 2:39 am Thank you Tom Tom for your help with snapseed. I had to reduce to lowest size. Really happy now
