Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
The building is now screeded with the usual quick drying cement and SBR mix ready for a spray coat to prepare the exposed plastic areas for painting......
First coat of paint has now been applied, more to follow.

Re: Time to build a railway...but where?
Job done.....
looking back I see I started this build on Friday January 19th and posted the first images and description on Sat. 20th..... I can't imagine why it took me so long, but at last, it's finished!
The three are permanently fixed together and stretch 92cm., that's nearly as long as the kitchen table so my joint occupation here is now less welcome than in previous weeks.
Time to move it to my shed ready for installation......
Perhaps just one more smaller build before I vacate?

Superb paint job Peter. I do like the subtle discolouration of the accountants building round the lower walls and else where. The pink pub certainly fits right in.

With a row like that ( and they do look fabulous together) I would have thought a path/alley/snicket/ginnel/Welsh equivalent, at the ends to give rear access would be appropriate, especially with a pub in the middle?
Just thought, I know you've said about doing a church, but you really do also need a small village school and playground.

They certainly look fine and dandy in a row together. Amazing how quickly you turned these around. Maybe you should volunteer to lead the government's house-building initiative......

A village school sounds like a great idea Philip, not too big or too tall. A small playground attached would possibly fill an awkward shape between buildings etc? Unsure about the Church at the moment, until I lay out the existing structures it is difficult to say how much space might be available. Churches can take up quite a lot of room.
The rear access issue is also something I have to think about when they are on site and not before. I have already planned to have walls and fencing dividing the buildings but they can't be made and fitted until I have decided whether to have a single 'Main Street' running through the village or to have them in parallel rows radiating from the central Market Hall. Time the Planners were called together I think, they have had it far too easy up to now!
I am beginning to think I might have raised the bar and expectations are running out of control..... however, not a reason to give up now, always strive for more.

Peter, I do hope the local newspaper will dispatch a reporter to the planners meetings to keep us all informed.

As long as no one takes Umbrage, perhaps Mr. Butler is heading for a Knighthood.

Glad to see the towns fathers are getting on with the job.

PS I think there's a case of Nepotism by the Jones family.

Spot on, did you have to resort to the old Brown envelope stuffed with pound notes? It's fairly traditional in parts of Wales.......
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!

The Taffia eh?
Looks like all the Jones females have the hots for Peter. I think he should watch out for stalkers.
