Auto station stop with a Deltang Rx65b receiver

Post by ge_rik » Fri Feb 09, 2018 6:11 pm

Been on my list of ToDos for ages. Finally got around to programming the Deltang Rx65b in my Peckett(ish) loco so it will stop at each station automatically when I fancy just letting it run around on its own (eg when we're entertaining visitors or when I'm doing a bit of gardening).

Not written the blog post about it yet, but here's a taster video .....

Will need to increase the inertia setting on the receiver for a softer start - but getting there!

Rik
PS - Sorry about the abrupt ending, but my video camera ran out of battery at the mast moment

Tom,
No doubt Rik will be able to advise, but unless something has changed recently, you can't have both stop/start and shuttle modes at the same time, since both use the same channel.

Hi Philip
Yes, it's a pity, but you can only have either / or on each Rx. I once tried programming the Rx so that one pad was used to trigger auto-shuttle and another pad was used to trigger auto station stop, but the second program cancelled out the first. It seems that you can only have one pad used as an input at any one time.

I've now written a blog post explaining the process:

Hope it's helpful

Do I hear a Westinghouse Brake Pump pant when the loco is stopped ?
