Roll yer Own

I have been wanting a gas burner for my MSS loco for some time now and with the $ to £ conversion rate being terible at the moment I thought I would put the lathe to good use.

here are the results so far

the burner tube was made from 10mm solid brass bar as it is a lot cheeper to buy thean brass tube.
and the gas jets are from portable gas stoves available from good camping stores.

next thing to do is build the gas cylender
stand by for further progress :D

Look forward to seeing the results. Did you have a plan or are you just guessing it will work ok?

I saw one on a friend of mine SL1 which gave me the idea and also there is a larger one in the book I have "Steam Trains in Your Garden" so sort of making one to fit the loco
