Thanks very much, enjoyed that thoroughly. Nice camera work, Welsh choir soundtrack very fitting. I used to enjoy watching the Webcams before they became hopelessly positioned and un-viewable, your video has made up for it. Thanks again.

Since having no response from an IOM post and seeing and showing this Video to Anne we have now looked into having a holiday in North Wales again this year... :thumbright:

Thanks for posting the videos Ace, there are some nice shots of the layouts at Exeter that I missed due to spending too much time talking.

Another great video Ace, well filmed and edited showing some of the beautifully scenic surroundings along the line. I have been a fan of the W&LR since I was a very young lad (long time!) and the Earl and Countess are amongst my first choice of locomotives, unfortunately I have never taken to the coaching stock although I do appreciate they seem to be well presented and serve a purpose.
The line is well worth a visit and the Gala Weekend with 16mm exhibition as another attraction is a 'must see' on my calendar.

Another great video Ace, love the shots of the coupling up of the loco and the carriages.

I liked the coaches Peter of the ones Countess was pulling, but not to sure about the ones Joan had on.

Rod, according to the calendar on the W&L site the Steam Gala is dated 31st August - 2nd September. The 16mm exhibition should be open on the Saturday and Sunday..... see you there.

Oh to have steam as visible as that, at least you guys are sure your driving a steam loco. Thanks for enduring the cold and for sharing.

Thanks for your kind words folks. I love steaming in the cold, those plumes! I just don't like keeping the gas cylinders warm tucked in my jacket, seems like a bit of a liability.

Part 2 of my visit to the Welsh Highland Railway. Again blessed with good weather and another beautiful railway.

Great video of a wonderful line, not yet travelled that section but I felt I was there!
All the stock looks so well maintained and when the weather is good, the views are magnificent.

Used to have some good fun in the Aberglaslyn tunnel, when I was involved in outdoor activity stuff. Shame they ruined it by putting a railway back through it  I'll fetch my coat...
