Model Shops Manchester
Hello,
I'm based in manchester city centre and I'm in need of a few supplies such as Humbrol paints and the like. Model zone used to be in the city centre but I think they have closed their doors now. Can anyone suggest anywhere close to the city centre I might be able to find some modelling supplies?
Kind regards,

In Gloucester Hobby craft carries stock of humbrol but not necessarily the whole range. They do some tamiya paints as well.

Amazon can be your friend here if you are not near model zone - also the futurist wargaming shops (I can't remember their brand) do great acrylic paints - the quality is fantastic - the only challenge is that they are named more like places/thing in the hobbit than traditional colours (i.e.) Mordor Murk verses Dark Brown
Where did I put that uncoupler?

I have been using 'Citadel' acrylic paints from 'Games Workshop' for years now and can recommend them for all purposes... indoor and out!
Google 'Citadel acrylic paints' and you will find all the information you need.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

Of course........Games Workshop - how did I forget.......too much supergluing recently I reckon!
Just noticed on their site that there is an app for your phone that will colour match your required shade to the their range - could be useful!

Games Workshop, use to love playing 40k when I was an even younger man.
There paints are expensive though these days along with everything else they sell. I use to be able to buy a lead dreadnought (big robotic looking thing with guns) for £20 but now they are nearer to £30 for a plastic one.

James there are a lot of sites that do good quality paint, it depends on how much you want to pay, just put a search in for model paint suppliers and you should be able to get something to met your needs.
There is a place in Shaw near you that is a model shop supplier, but the memory eludes me at the moment If I can recall the name I will let you know.
