Looking really good. Like you, I enjoy finding cheap but effective solutions to detailing.

I agree with Rik on both points.

Brickwork done (needs weathering), the interior has been fixed in place, the windows glazed and fitted.
Next steps: start detailing the top sides and begin work on the roof

It's looking very good indeed. It's full of character. The roof is really going to put the icing on the cake. Well done!

Re: New Project : Stanley Signal Box
Not much movement in the last few weeks, but started on the roof and the roof detailing (also fitted a couple of lights to the interior)

Oh and after a great deal of searching managed to find some plastic letters of just the right size to allow me to add the name boards at each end just how I wanted them.

Good to see this project again... even slow progress is a step in the right direction.
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?

Looking good, some deft work with the Dremel by the looks of it.

It's a nice piece of work and looks very close to completion now. Well done.

Roof detailing done, interior lights on (wish I hadn't bought cheapo battery boxes from eBay!) and the windows completed using a paint pen.

Re: New Project : Stanley Signal Box
Pretty much done, the last of the detailing completed this week.
and then today finished off with a little bit of weathering, just need a lacquer coating and then we'll be ready to put outside!
Thinking of writing up the build process and maybe this time firing off to Garden Rail (my church build went to 16mm and to be honest the build process has been pretty much the same as that has stood up to the weather really well!)
