Accucraft WD Baldwin

Post by SKGLB » Wed Jan 25, 2017 5:16 pm

Hi everyone!

Last Weekend started an little testrun on loosely laid 45 mm tracks on my terrace.
The winter weather, snow and ice have provided for a beautiful backdrop

The safety valve has been reset, it has always exhausted at low pressure. So that always a large part of the steam did not get into the cylinders but out from the safety valve.

Bought from IP Engeneering (Karas little Karakters) some 16mm Figures, also a driver and painted him. It fits perfectly into the cab of the locomotive

But see for yourself

PS: All in all, I'm not so satisfied what Accucraft has sent me after a long wait. :|   but it works
Have made some modifications, Numberplate, Factoryplate , front lantern lit up and others.

Greetings, Gerald ;)

You'll be all right when you learn to slow down - that driver looks TERRIFIED!

New start today to slow down

Post by SKGLB » Sat Jan 28, 2017 4:20 pm

Today tried to slow down.

The conditions outside were no exactly ideal, unfortunately hardly sun and shady  :(

Yesterday I also shot a video. With better outside light conditions.

But after a while the safety ring which is fixing the front coupling underneath the front of the loco has released itself, so lost in ice and snow. Replaced the washer today, found one in my spare parts box.
