Simple Wagon.
Hi,
A Happy and Healthy New Year to GR Forum Members.
During the Winter I overhaul and make new stock to entertain the public at the CMES open days. One of the new wagons made is to transport a toy; another Charity Shop buy. There have been many of these simple wagons made some that have been used for maybe 15 years. These wagons are quick, simple and inexpensive to make often in batches, though this one is a one off and smaller than the others usually made, but its construction is the same.
The load.
The wheels and K&S brass tube bearings.
The wheels and their bearings assembled.
The wagon body made from four pieces of wood.
The axle wheel assembly glued in place.
Load fitted; the couplings are modified Binnie 'Carmarthen' which are reasonably priced and I find work well.
Wagon and locomotive?
Any question pleas ask.
Regards Tony.
