I've got two of them that I've repainted to look like German built BR Western Region coaches for a hypothetical 1980s steam railway.
Will probably move them on though as they don't suit my aesthetic now

I have often thought of a rake of these to replace my 4 wheel LGB's but I never actually do because I can't really justify a fourth rake of coaches...
No one expects the SPANISH ACQUISITION!!!

They are 45mm stock and my line is 32mm so that is why they look like they have de-railed.
I am happy with the coach given what I paid for it as the prices for 16mm are creeping up (Accucraft rolling stock prices are ridiculous these days).

I have wondered about buying a couple to hack about, with some better plastic wheels I could leave them outside. Loading stock on the layout is always a chore.
Leave the TB insignia and run it as a sanatorium coach??

Hmm... That's not a bad idea...
I wonder whether adding plastic strip as a kind of beading here and there would Anglicise (or Cymrify) them a little? Or just look a dog's dinner?
Looking forward to seeing how you get on with them,
Andrew.

Funny you said (typed) that Andrew, I thought the same yesterday looking at some W and L picitures of coaches. Sounds like a job for Peter Butler and his plasticard skills!

Andrew.
I particularly like the 'Cymrify' idea but I have doubts that Bazzer's comment (although gratefully received) is within my realms.
Whatever is done to these coaches will not alter their pedigree!
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
