Hi Big Jim, the Mamod in the Hunslet style is one of a numbered series of 10 Mamodifications I have made. I have actually made more than that but i've stopped numbering them now :)

My railway is built to 16mm scale so i have no intention of converting to 7/8ths.
However i love Quarry Hunslets and 16mm scale ones are both rare and expensive,
so when Accucraft announced their 7/8ths one at such a reasonable price i just had to have one.

Wow , hunslets have got to be some of the best looking locos around in my view - I deffinetly need one ! Your dad had a great collection.
