Hello!
Yes, a hacksaw will work fine (you might want t tidy the ends with a file if necessary), but if you've got one I find a cutting disk in a Dremmel much easier.
Cheers,
Andrew.

Dremel is ideal for cutting track and has a load of other hobby uses.

Just like the real thing where we've gone from reciprocating saws to disc cutters for track repairs!

I use a 1mm slitting disc in an angle grinder, crude but fast. Is a dremmel indispensable? They seem very popular, need to borrow the neighbour's for a try

I have a Dremmel type drill (can't remember the make) but it is most useful for cutting, drilling and many other uses. It is a 230v tool with variable speed control so anything can be cut, unlike some of the 12v power tools which can be stopped dead! I tried the 12v on SM32 rail and it just said no!
The best things in life are free.... so why am I doing this?
