Not ANOTHER Garratt

Dads finished another Garratt. Following the lines of the "baby" Garratt Rachel seen elsewhere on the forum, it features additions such as side tanks, a Belpaire firebox and a spark arrestor. It's also battery powered, with a turn of speed surpassing any mamod! A race between it and a Swift Sixteen Flash maybe???









Our ancient tram engine was also run today for a capacity test (turns out it has none!) and had it's battery pack replaced.


Dad has also finished 2 Modeltown cottages (thatched and corris) and have been placed on the reverse curve near the main station.


Dad is currently finishing another live steam "baby" Garratt for another Gloucester group member, which I will post once it's finished!

Thank you Kandnwlr! I think the simple maroon suits it well.
Dad has modified the engine since these pictures were taken. The electronics have been modified from series to parallel, making it ALOT more controllable (it still has an impressive turn of speed).
Dad has also decided to consolidate his locomotives (mainly to make room for the Roundhouse Garratt), meaning some will now be sold. As a result, this locomotive has inherited the old nameplates from our ancient Avonside Heisler. It is now named Ernest, after my grandfather.,
