Nicely proportioned loco. It must be very satisfying to see such a fine machine take shape from your own work.

Very nice steel bodywork! I use 0.6mm steel, and it solders very well.

Best wishes,
Dave.

Very nice loco you have there , excuse my ignorance but what parts did you make? Obviously the body I can see is scratch built but weren't sure about the other bits, is it a roundhouse chassis , boiler and valve gear or your own ? Anyway very nice job and I look forward to see in it painted
Cheers

If you look at some of his earlier pictures you can see the cylinders are definitely NOT Roundhouse- he appears to have made them from bar stock, they were square until recently!

What a nice-looking engine, it has very pleasing proportions.

Hello Live steamers.
After a long time here is a little update about my loco.
I built a working removeable headlamp for my loco. Power comes from a small button cell. The interior is made of Teflon for both electrical and heat insulation. The on/off switch is simply a M3 bolt that I have to turn in for switching the light on. My intention is to build another lamp iron for the back of the loco, so that if she is running cab first I can mount the headlight on the back.

Hello Steamers,

At last I did it: I took my loco apart and cleaned everything, I sanded the pieces that were to be painted and put a coat of paint (RAL blue 5013) on it. Now I have a sort of kit to be assembled. I will take photographs of the next stages!

Hello live steamers,

My loco is almost finished. Last week I put all the painted parts together. Now it is a loco again.
She has made her first run. After a lot of fine tuning eveything works fine. Now I have to add name plates and  works plates. I don't have a layout, but I can put some track on the lawn. Next time I will make a video of the loco running.
