Interesting thing. Wonder how it fairs speed wise against mine. What its got in streamlining and lightness mine has in raw power, despite looking like a brick. A race is required.

Your on !!!

A race it is  :D  :D  :D  :D

I'll set mine to 100% throttle (it's only on 35% now) and we'll let them rip !! Something like 3 times round a given track :D

Wrong!!!! Sorry but the limiting factor is that there is only one original and historical Diplock vehicle against a mass produced and dispensible opponent.
I would not encourage competition of this sort.

besides I'd probably win   I know it can exceed 30 actual mph, but that was 30 years ago.

For the record I've actually nearly properly crashed the Diplock railcar, its RC glitched and it started accelerating toward a bridge on a bend, luckily no damage was caused.  Couldn't really help what happened, its so overpowered its off in the blink of an eye (or glitch of a receiver).  Gordon built it rather substantially probably forseeing accidents.  For this reason its getting 2.4 gig to lessen the chances of that happening again, my preferred system has a kill switch feature where loss of signal kills all functions.  I'd sooner use it though and risk the odd crash than see it disappear into someones cupboard, it gives my friends a good laugh when it comes out to play. Don't worry I'm not a total vandal, I appreciate it has some degree of history.

"besides I'd probably win  "

That's an odd position to take?
