Nice locomotive there and great to see a Father and Son project.
What did you use for RC?
I like the suitably well used Binnie tippers on the video.
If at first you don't succeed, use a bigger hammer!

Believe it or not we used a Joysway 2.4gh radio from a model yacht. Small components and flat large phone style TX. It was a throw out from the model boat club. My son is 11 and built 95% of it with me guiding and advising. Tiring to do but he enjoyed it. Took 4 days

Looks suitably worn and battered - like the exhaust rust!

Wish I could build as well as that. Particularly like the weathering effects.

captures the real thing very well. I've driven the real thing. Its very noisy and so drivers need to wear ear defenders.

Very nice, fits in with your railway perfectly
Steam is highly under rated

Great stuff! Especially the rust effects.
