Creosote & LGB track

Does creosote, new and old recipe react with LGB track? I'm told that it will melt the plastic.

Not on my raised track so far, which has been down for four years, liberally coated with the original creosote and is mainly in direct sunlight. The LGB and PIKO sleepers are fine with no sign of any damage. However using mild steel pins on the bridge decking was upon reflection not such a good idea, so recently replaced with stainless steel.

I was told at work it would melt the plastic! Not so it seems.
