Just like the East of Scotland Group, the West of Scotland group also retired their large portable layout, replacing it with a small layout 'GlenDreich' which has already been extended to provide a larger fiddle yard at the rear, and more storage in front of the Distillery.
Large layouts are great for having fun running live steam but generally rely on access to a trailer, secure storage when out of use, and of course at least one member having a towbar. Hence the convenience of a smaller layout which fits in a car (or two) and is stored by 2 of the Group's members.
My camera is pretty useless at taking any decent action shots at these low light venues so here is a video with some short clips & static shots.
