you could get a brand new Lady Ann or something by the time it's reached the end of the auction...
I don't want a brand new Lady Ann, I want an old one  .

What concerns me is that they only appear to have had it since January this year, and is it really necessary to sell it to fund a new house purchase (winning bid would not even cover the fees)? They mention a problem with the gas burners, but I'm rather suspicious about its sale - something being hidden from us me thinks.
It's also been mentioned on the 16mm association yahoo group, it's Kevin Steele who's selling the loco, a regular on the 16mm circuit. He's happy to answer any questions or arrange a viewing to see the loco. I don't think he'd sell a klunker!

OK, fair enough, my instincts were wrong on this one. Still I'd like to see it in the flesh before bidding.

Afraid I've given up on the 16mm NGM Yahoo group, as they just ridicule or don't even bother answering about Mamod problems, and with their huge number of postings unless you have got a separate e-mail account for the extra large number of e-mails then you just miss out on all the photos that are only available in the e-mails & not stored anywhere online.

That is why I like the Myfreeforums format as we can see photos & watch videos easily.

If it is a steamcraft one I bet it wont work. Steamcraft were a division of Merlin and apart from tag gortons appraisel of them even he has to admit that they need rebuilding after 5 seconds running. Still its a nice engine.

I'm sure Mr Brown or Mr Darling would give you a safe interest free loan!
