'Vimeo' video hosting site - my first upload to it

Post by clive_t » Tue Sep 30, 2008 9:03 pm

Hello all

Not sure if this is old news, but yesterday I stumbled across a new video hosting service, which seems to be a bit better than You Tube - called Vimeo. http://www.vimeo.com

You can upload up to 500Mb of video per week in a variety of formats, and you can optionally give people the opportunity to download your vid in the original quality.

Here's my first attempt, it's a short clip of my live-steamer 'Lady Maria' (a Roundhouse Lady Anne) taking a passenger service on the short run from Chipside to Scampington.

(Hopefully my attempt at embedding my vid in this post will work!)

<object width="640" height="483"> <param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /> <param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /> <param name="movie" value="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id= ... llscreen=1" /> <embed src="http://vimeo.com/moogaloop.swf?clip_id= ... llscreen=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" width="640" height="483"></embed></object>

Also while I was on the site, I found this absolutely superb video...

Hope you enjoy.
Cheers

I've seen that on youtube before now, one of the most realistic G Scale lines I have seen so far...

Anyway, lovely video Clive, love the Lady Ann! :D

Thanks, yes it's 45mm across the tracks, mostly LGB stuff but with a couple of live-steamers as well.

So may I ask, how far along the M27 are you then?

Oh, and thanks to Messrs mhlr and SillyBilly for most kind comments also.
Cheers

Clive
