Wrist and hand "bones" in Blender

Post by philipy » Fri May 07, 2021 6:47 am

I've been trying to pose a Makehuman figure to do something specific, using Blender. I can get the slightly crouching pose pretty well but for him to be holding things correctly I need to rotate the hands to get the palms underneath what he is holding. In searching for how to do it, I came across this excellent video showing exactly how to (rig) put all of the proper bones into a full arm and hand so that it functions in an anatomically correct way. It's probably unlikely that any of us would need this much detail for one of our figures but it does have some useful insights into working Blender and bits of it could be helpful generally.
