I thought I had it, but I'm not sure now...

If I'm right, it's either upside down (but then that bit sticking out doesn't make sense) or it's the right way up and you've still got to cut a hole in the bottom?

Yes, still needs a hole. Couldn't be sure how big to make it until what will fill it arrived in the post this morning.

I think I'm on the right lines then... Lines that are roughly 2 foot four and a half inches apart...

They've already done that at the Midland Railway Centre. It's Utterly Butterley...

I've clearly made it far too easy ........
I'm starting my GVT Odyssey with this one

I've always fancied making an 0-16.5 layout. It's going to be in the workshop with (maybe eventually) an extension out into the garden.

I've always fancied the GVT, even have a couple of bits of stock, but never got any further, so I'm going to be watching this one with interest.

I too fancy a GVT and it is on my list of loco's to put into CAD and print off, after about half a dozen others, but it may jump the queue and I might do it after Excelsior, who knows

Looking good Rik, keep us updated on the progress

Although I've got Bernard Rockett's book about the GVT which has some fine 7mm scale drawings (side and front elevations), I was struggling to find a plan view of one the the GVT Beyer Peacocks.

Isn't it amazing what one finds by doing a quick search on this forum .......
