Two new wagons
Two new wagons
Over on Jakes thread a couple of weeks ago, it slightly digressed and I briefly showed a wagon chassis that I had just 3D printed.

I thought I'd now post a couple of pictures of the chassis with bodies on top, just to complete things. Nothing special, just run of the mill wagons.

Re: Two new wagons
Run of the mill wagons are important any railway, they are what addle t'brass - and they are very nice examples of the breed.

Traffic Pattern? What pattern? Spuds out; grain in, but cattle, sheep and passengers are a lot less predictable.

Re: Two new wagons
Lovely work Phillip. Excellent example of what this technology is capable of. I cant wait to see what else comes out of the workshops!
Re: Two new wagons
I agree, they look great. It can take an effort to bother with detail on "run of the mill" rolling stock, but it's really worth it I think, as these two illustrate.
I must find the time to investigate 3D printing at some point - I've sort-of got access to a printer at the moment, but I need to download and learn to use some software...
Cheers,
Andrew.

Re: Two new wagons
Thanks for all the nice commenst cahps, but I fear I may have inadvertantly misled you.
The chassis and brakegear were 3D printed as I've said but the bodies were fabricated from styrene sheet and strip. I have a feeling that some of you may have thought I printed the bodies as well, so I apolgise for not being clearer.

Re: Two new wagons
No worries Phillip. But it's still some brilliant builds.
Merry Christmas to you and have a very Happy New Year.
