The farm tractor in the background is a smaller scale but used here to create a sense of distance.
This is a photo from my archives so if anyone has any objections to me using it then please let me know and I'll replcace it.
The perspective works well Andy, I wouldn't have realised if you hadn't said.

An archive picture is fine, as long as it's yours which it obviously is, so don't worry about that. It was covered in the rules right back at the begining a couple of years ago.

The wee one has decided her place on the railway is to load trains with gravel, whether I like it or not...

Just be grateful that she hasn't noticed those very much larger rocks a bit further up the track that would fill the wagon quicker.

Lovely shot.

Maybe in time you will be able to get her to load and unload wagons for you.

Nicely composed - I bet it would look good in black and white.

A photo good enough to deserve more than one viewing to appreciate it gets my vote. This is such a photo.

Hi Phil
I did try it in B/W and in sepia but, because the background is a bit 'busy' the crane and its operator disappear.

With my Fat Controller's hat on, I have to point out that entries for the Gallery should (a) be the sole work of the entrant and (b) not be manipulated!
I'm sure Rik will do the right thing, and the original picture doesn't need any embellishment anyway, IMO.

-steves- wrote: Sat Jun 12, 2021 3:26 pm How about this one for you Rik, made it old style with the centre focussed and the edges blackening out, lol. Please do feel free to delete it from the thread ;) I see what you mean about the crane operator
Thanks Steve. As you say, the crane operator sort of disappears into the foliage which is why I decided against going b/w. Also, looks like the adjudicator's decision is final .... :D

An ideal job for a Wickham trolley! Did you commission an aircraft for the aerial view?
