Don't know if this is of any use,or indeed, has been posted,but a plastic plate rack can make a great overall roof for a terminus. Cut off the bit for the eating irons,turn it upside down, glaze and/or paint as required. Mounted on pillars made from wedding cake thingy's and away you go.

No pic's I'm afraid,but the amended sketch should give you some idea of what's involved. It's a while ago, but my friend and I built a roof for his line using 6 of these. Big station! It was painted in red oxide then grey primer.
Another trick we used was to cut the corrugated section out of tins for corrugated iron panels.
