Glad you like the interior bits - I'm gradually gluing them in now, I'll post a picture once it's done.
Andrew, you may remember that I was agonising somewhat over what colour to paint my levers? In the end I used your advice and that article I shared to get it more or less right for my track layout (I hope!), but with the caveat that - since it's some years since the 'box was actually used for its intended function - the lever frame doesn't actually have to reflect the current arrangements... The perfect excuse!

I'm glad it was useful information. I love the premise. And by the way, the frame looks really good. The box is going to be full of atmosphere when you've got all those bits in there. Provided there is a kettle and teapot that I've yet to see I wouldn't mind a turn in there myself!

It's not quite to scale (I don't know of any drawings, so I scaled it up from photos and tweaked it to suit the windows), but I think it captures the essence of the old Welsh Highland architecture - Nantmor-or-less?!! It'll be stored until spring now, but I've already got more foam board etc on order for future projects. The buildings bug has bitten...

Thanks Stuart, I'm glad you like it! I must confess, I am pleased with it - it does look "right" when a WHR train pulls into the platform...
My wife's got into ceramics, to the extent that there's now a kiln in our kitchen, so I'm thinking that at some point I'll have a go at one of the NWNGR stone and brick station buildings in terracotta. Not any time soon though - I don't think we particularly want to add 1000 more degrees to the current temperature by firing the kiln!

It's not a building exactly, but it's the only modelling I've done in weeks, and it needed to go somewhere, so here's a little figure on a Phil Sharples bench:
The bench is lovely, and only cost £2 or 3, I think - great value.
I'm not entirely sure where the figure came from, Poundland or similar, possibly. I don't recall what he looked like originally, but he had a brief moment in the spotlight a few year's ago when he was the stunt double for our very own Inspector!
Somewhat shaken by that experience, he apparently plans to have a very sedentary retirement...
