Re: Vale of Fairway
Could you hang the door from the centre post? The diagonal bracing would be correct if hung from the opposite side.

Re: Vale of Fairway
Lose the siding altogether, do you really need it?
You can leave the point in place and lock it off.

I had a similar problem when I resited my engine shed. I placed a stop between the shed road and the offending other track to stop the door fouling it. A compromise would be to use Peter's idea but have double doors, one of which is hung on the centre pillar.
It looks, however, as if you have solved it by reducing the length of the shed.

Some great looking buildings
Re: Vale of Fairway
Got to say Rik I think a small cut back will be better as the door opens to the length of the base and more pleasing to my eye.ge_rik wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 7:05 pm I had a similar problem when I resited my engine shed. You are right Mr Butler, Mr cock up called when I built the doors and only one can be hung right....schoolboy errorPeter Butler wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2018 3:58 pm Could you hang the door from the centre post? The diagonal bracing would be correct if hung from the opposite side.

Walking the dogs this morning I started to wonder whether Mr B might be right about rehanging the door on the centre pillar. Off to Somerset for the weekend but might well experiment Monday evening.

Derek your shed looks brilliant so far, have you got any further with it.

Re: Vale of Fairway
My thoughts too Rod, a great project but gone a little quiet recently, I hope there is progress to report.

Re: Vale of Fairway
Just need to cut some artificial slate to size to drop on the roof supports before adding corrugated sheet.
To add to time loss the bridge season has kicked off again and even managed to deliver one to Ardrossan during a planned visit to my brother. I can confirm B &Q no longer stock 4mm pine strip after buying the last 43 pieces in Kilmarnock!

I shall try to be more regular but have a 5 bridge backlog to clear first which is a double edged sword...

Re: Vale of Fairway
A very substantial looking structure and most convincing finish. I have missed your input too, glad to see you back showing us your wonderful work.

Re: Vale of Fairway
Make a sign saying "Door to be kept closed when not in use, Order of the management" or words to that effect. Much easier
Re: Vale of Fairway
Need a sign to go around my neck saying traitor! Still can't shake the 4mm China clay bug but set myself a deadline to finish 4 mini wagon projects before shelving it all to next winter.
I have managed the ends of a shed for the bottom station but already regretting not adding a window in one. Perhaps two sheds are better than one?

Despite the apparent chunky size these are the ends of an 8x12ft shed.Re: Vale of Fairway
Nice one!
