Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway
My Universal Hobbies Landrover started life as a Red Cross marked vehicle with full length soft-top. not quite what I wanted. It was also left hand drive, again, not suited to my needs, so.....

I like that a lot.
The frame and rimes needs som rusty enamel colors mixed with powder colors.
The tires and sides of the car will look better with some mud. Try to apply mud acrylic colors mixed with plaster.
Then the pig would feel much more comfy ...

I don't want to hijack the thread - but can't find anywhere else to post this:
My Universal Hobbies TD5:110 arrived today and I've taken some measurements and compared against the real thing. Firstly the LR official length of 4660mm is wrong - unless the "Puma" 110 is shorter than the TD5 (which I doubt). My Puma measures 4370 from the outside of the cowl to the rear panel. The Universal Hobbies 110 is 239mm over the same measurement - which is 1:18.28. The floor to outer flat rooftop (behind the driver's "B" post - where the panel seam is on the roof) on my 1:1 scale is exactly 2000mm. The UM 110 is 109mm over the same distance, which is 1:18.34.
Most important, the truck looks right when sat against 32mm track. Yes, it is out of scale, but not by much and, after all, it is a Landie - they aren't exactly precision built themselves. The model is much better built than the 1:1!!

I would be happy with it, looking forward to seeing what you can do to it now.

It will stay as it is for a while as I have some rolling stock to get on with! It's actually a pretty good model - I've seen a lot worse. It will probably end up black and a Utility back. A Puma bonnet would be nice - but it is quite a lot of work as the TD5 depression is difficult to work with. Still, I can just pretend it's a replacement as they end up nicked in any case!!
Not used to bashing in this scale, most of my Defenders are from Hart Smith kits - sadly no longer available. Yours and KjellAn's are setting pretty high standard!

Here is a video and some pics of the first run with my RH Jenny on my Pine Hill Railway (PHRy).
There was a new experience for me to run a manually operated engine. My line - PHRy has no steep gradients, so there were no real mishaps or derailments.
The little engine will soon have r/c, a whistle and some nice extras. There will be more pics and questions in some time ...

Looks the part, nicely weathered.
Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway
All looks good, but the rust on the last two wagons is superb!

I love how you finished that Lineside Hut Oakley Quarry wagon. Well, I love all of them, but especially that one!
Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway
I agree with the others, that's a wonderful looking train, beautifully done, congratulations!
With best wishes,
Andrew.

Top marks for finishing on the wagons, they all look well worked and tired, just as they should!

Re: The Pine Hill Railway (PHRy) - a Norwegian Garden Railway
Thanks for all comments!
I like this kind of weathering: I do a mix of humbrol paints in different rusty colors and rusty powder colors on top of the wet paint.
The wagon which I would like to make better is the Line Side Hut Runner Wagon. The lasercut ply makes a little strange look compared to real wooden planks.
Anyone here with some advises about a colorsceme to those flat wagons used for tools e.g.?
It's not too late for improvements …

August 31 th - 2019
We had a steamup the last saturday of August. A few enthusiastic livesteam'ers did find the way to the PHRy, and had lot of fun running trains. And enjoying the barbecue and refreshments
Here are some pics …

A grey Roundhouse Clarence.

Very nice! I really like the log load, and the securing chain...
Do they run well? I'll probably build some for my line quite soon - I wasn't sure how well they'd run with the long fixed coupling?
Thanks for the picture,
Andrew.

They run well. The logs do not move longitudinally because of this spikes in the bottom of the cradle.
The drawbar has elongated holes at each end to handle some movement between the wagons.

Nice looking logging trucks. I expect the Drawbar is just there for the ride when loaded. Provided the logs are no longer than the coaches you use there should be planty of clearance for curves.
