heres my best plan that i have done, the other were just ovals, but after seeing cdr and The Tarren Hendre, i have rethought it totally.
i would make it bigger but i am leaving space for a 7 1/4" line as well.

Yeah, getting good grades helps a lot, both in the short term, and long term. I did my first GSCE exam (a module science) in Januray, and i got the results back last week.

A* :D !

Thanks mhlr. My parents are very proud of me, and if I keep up this hard work in all subjects, I might get an A in up to 9 subjects out of 10 :D ! ( the one subject which I'll problely fail is french, which is compulsery for all pupils up to year 12 at my school).

What kind of track are you using? If that area is small, it's going to have some tight corners.

my dad wants to use peco track.
altho mamod would be cheaper, its not as good, and tenmille is just to expensive.

there was some 16mm rail for sale at a sale at gmes once, i regret not buying it, as things sell cheap at gmes. we got a lathe for £25!

the area it would take is about 40ft by 16ft, theres alot more space. but that cam be used in the future.

That's about the size of our garden, but you seem to have shoehorned a lot more track into it  I'm guessing small, industrial locos and stock will be the order of the day then?

you hit the nail on the head.
the inner circuit is industrial. and the outer bigger circuit is the passenger railway.

I've not bought any track yet and due to time and cost considerations I think its going to take some time to do Andy's plan and anyway I expect that he will change the layout as we go along. I've said that I will buy a box of Peco SM32 track to start with and Andy can always earn some money to buy more !
