Don't worry, it will give me an excuse not to clean it... Or I could just call it sunbleached western green.Sir haydn:70422 wrote:Yes Shane, LNER doncaster green is an odd colour for you to pick
Tommy Dodd may have an ARS key but I have a TASS button & a Rope Ladder, just like pirates, except the TASS button bit.
Some nasty person stole it. Even worse, I heard they've cleaned, fixed it and made a new rear cab sheet.

The 'faded' GWR green Leader gets its first quick video (just off my phone).

Lovely loco, very happy with it.

Apologies for the repeat picture posting for the people on here that are also on the FB 16mm sites.
Today had a bit of a steam up as the sun came out. Only really took pics of the leader in action though.
Shed scene.
Out on the road..

Some cracking shots there Shane - I especially like that one down the side of the 'shed
I spotted the extra bits on the Leader too! (blackened filler caps & SV, smokebox hinge strapping, lamp brackets, bucket& oil can). Very neat
I can thoroughly recommend the Roundhouse gas reg handle for a direct replacement

Just a few shots to show that the limited time I have has been put to good use (I think).
Rather W&L I feel.
Help arrived to assist the Roundjack.
Boc (box) Slate Workings [BSW] sidings installed filling the last 'blank' on the line.
First train arriving at BSW.
No 4 working the sidings at BSW. It's a bit big for use here but is my only RC diesel so far.
My 1988 built wagon finally gets painted.
Talking of which, Fox Road C&W depot has been laid out after giving up on the plan to route behind the sheds (Not needed now after installing the loops at Fox Road Jnc).
The site of Fox Road C&W.

Cheers. Yes I think that is it now for track (aside from some old 0 gauge needed for the incline). Plus there will be a little bit more but not trackbed as such. The near road in fox road C&W is designed for a lift out section to be joined so by opening the small door on the shed I can drive stock into the shed onto shelf like boards which will then be able to be stacked in the shed. Well thats the plan anyway.

Just a few updates in photo form...
No 5 returned to traffic as a lease loco to BSW. Here posed with the other two working diesel's.
Talking of which, No 3 is earninbg it's keep well.
Private use only hasnt been kind to No 5, here we see it enroute from wheel turning at PorthCadno, a rare mainline run.
It's usual domain, shunting at BSW.
Or
..Tripping wagons to nearby Chyknell station.
A few other pics.
No 6 on a passenger service.
No 4 on a very light pickup freight.
Another view of No 5 at BSW.
Running trains from the conservatory!
Seems the shed makes good cover for the the summer weather.
Finally whilst clearing Porthcadno scrapyard to concrete the base I realised that the extensive clutter could be used to create what I wanted there....A scrapped loco.
Hence this wierd thing was created out of a cut IP Jack chassis & some original No1 mamod parts.
A lick of paint (over the rust) & a new chimney from copper pipe & hey presto...
