Well, to escape some homework today, I spent a hour down laying some track. The passing loop is done, with the line going through the tunnel down to the bridge. I made the tunnel structure too.

Your Edrig's looking really great there, you're so lucky to have such an awesome backdrop to pose it against! ;)

Thanks for sharing that video with us.

Good to see an Lollypop Railcar in action, and I like the diesel noise effect that your other railcar produces.

Haha, I didnt think about it that way :D That was a attempt I took at building a railcar within a few hours under £10!!! I succeded, but it needs some work - ie, more power etc, cosmetics...

Here mhlr, what are you doing for ballest? I've heard that there's a type of cement that when set, looks like ballest, and encourages moss to grow, resulting in a line that looks a lot like the full size version.

its called the rowlands mix, its got cement, sharp sand and peat in can't remember the proportions i think its 2:3:1 or summat like.
For ballast I use grano dust mixed 2 parts grano to 1 part cement, laid dry then set with a water spray gun

My friend at the LLR and Tag Gorton have used a mortar mix, which I intend to do. It's just mortar, a little grit, and some cemente colouring. You apply dry, and spray it. I've heard that if you put some milk in the mix, it makes moss grow on it too! :D

LMAO, I BET!!!! I think if you just lay the mortar, you can also spread yoghurt on it once set, and that gets it growing...
